Sealed proposals will be received at the City of South Pasadena, 7047 Sunset Drive, South Pasadena, Florida 33707, until 2:00 p.m. on July 28, 2016 at which time and place they will be publicly opened in the City Hall Commission Chambers, for furnishing solid waste and recycling collection beginning October 1, 2016. Questions regarding this request should be directed to Public Works Director Garry Anderson at (727) 384-0701. Sealed proposals must be submitted on proposal forms as provided (or exact copies thereof) and plainly marked "SEALED PROPOSAL FOR SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING FRANCHISE AGREEMENT".
All proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft or proposal bond in the amount of $50,000 made payable to the City of South Pasadena, which check, bank draft or proposal bond shall guarantee that should the proposal be accepted, the responder will within fifteen (15) days after acceptance of the proposal enter into a Franchise Agreement with the City of South Pasadena for the services proposed to be performed and will at that time furnish a performance bond in the amount of $200,000 made payable to the City of South Pasadena, which bond shall be adequate to guarantee the faithful performance of the Agreement.
Proposals may be withdrawn prior to July 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. but no proposal may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days following the proposal opening.
Proposal packets, including instructions and Franchise Agreement documents may be obtained from the City of South Pasadena Finance Department, at the above referenced address, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. and online here. The City of South Pasadena reserves the right to waive any informalities or to accept or reject any or all proposals in part or in total and award the Franchise in the best interest of the City.
Any person submitting a proposal in response to this invitation must execute a sworn statement under Section 287.133(A), FLORIDA STATUTES, ON PUBLIC ENTITY CRIMES, including proper check(s) in the space(s) provided.
